Book Natasha to Speak

Natasha was extremely well received—a direct result of her ability to “connect” powerful facts with the heartstrings of an audience desiring to do good works and to make a difference. Natasha has a gift for powerful storytelling that speaks to both the rational and emotional needs of her audience. She was clearly a bright spot for me and for my organization.

–Greg Smith, former Chief Public Support Officer for
the Bay
Area Chapter of the American Red Cross

Natasha has come to speak at the d.school at several years running. She’s the best kind of speaker: she speaks from experience.

Her talks are invaluable for our students as she turns her cutting edge experience into inspiring and enlightening anecdotes and insights.

professor, Stanford University

Point of View

In working with thousands of Earth lovers around the world,
I've seen a certain pattern so often, I call it the Earth Lover's paradox.

It’s the pain of feeling alive and aligned in nature...

and then overwhelmed, resistant and heartbroken in the world.

Why does this happen?
Science shows all sorts of benefits for spending time outdoors.  That’s true.

And it shows even greater benefits for adding contemplation to that time outdoors,
like with forest bathing or with nature-centered mindfulness.  Yes.

However, what I am seeing over and over again
is that these benefits are evaporating too quickly
in the face of the turbulence we are living through.

This is why my focus is on helping Earth lovers and leaders,
restore their grounded, curious, responsive presence,
as their default state,
no matter what storm may be going on.

This is the core of what has become the Nature Practice method.

THE NATURE OF PRESENCE

Cultivating natural presence in an increasingly artificial world.

In an increasingly artificial and accelerated world, cultivating natural presence may be the most difficult competency for leaders to sustain. This immersive session introduces Nature Practice, an emerging discipline that supports our ability to remain grounded, observant, and responsive. Attendees will learn to access their vital relationship with nature in ways that will improve emotional regulation, comfort with 'not knowing,' and the natural pacing required for deep presence and resilient leadership.

Key Takeaways:

  • From Escape to Alliance: Learn the practical framework of Nature Practice to weave the restoration you feel outdoors into your daily work—moving from nature as a weekend escape to a vital, everyday partnership.

  • Leading from Rhythm: Discover how to collaborate with the Earth’s natural pacing to lead with greater vision and creativity, replacing the pressure to "know it all" with the wisdom of deep listening.

  •  A Vital Instrument: Learn to attune your nervous system to the Earth so that your presence becomes a clear channel for purpose and positive change.

THE ONE PLACE TO BEGIN

A Diagnostic Guide to Restoring Your Natural Self

The Premise:
When we feel overwhelmed by the complexity of the modern world, we often freeze. We think we have to change everything—move to the forest, quit our jobs—to find peace. But radical change often starts with a single, specific thread.

In this highly engaging interactive keynote, Natasha brings her popular Stanford University curriculum to the stage. She guides the audience through a real-time self-assessment based on the six pillars of Nature Practice. Rather than leaving with a generic "to-do list," attendees leave with a personalized roadmap to restore their alignment without leaving their lives behind.

Key Takeaways:

  • The Personal Diagnostic: Attendees identify exactly which aspect of their inner ecosystem needs tending right now (e.g., Clarity, Composure, or Connection).

  • The "25-Minute Reset" Strategy: How to use daily "Soulful Sips" of nature to regulate the nervous system and restore focus in high-stress environments.

  • A Integration Roadmap: Practical steps to integrate silence, sensory awareness, and rhythm into a busy calendar immediately.
