Nature Practice Flow
How to experience more calm, clarity, courage, fulfillment & alignment without moving to the forest or becoming a monk.
This is the program I wish I had that time
years ago when I was drained. More like I couldn't-even-put-myself-together-to-work-for-a-few-months wiped out.
Have you ever felt that way?
In many ways, I was happy.
I felt so great on vacation, swimming in the ocean.
Or on weekends when I was hiking or camping.
So calm, so clear, so free.
But then it all seemed to disappear when I would get back into my regular routine.
I was doing purposeful work that I loved. But most of my weekdays were spent in front of my computer. On many days I didn't see much more nature than the pictures on my phone's wallpaper.
It's as if my screens were s w a l l o w i n g me.
I could literally feel the overwhelm, the overthinking, and the over-scheduling creeping back into my life.
I tried to find flow and balance. I was going to evening yoga class at one of the only shalas in San Francisco at the time. I was meditating several times per week in front of the little altar I had created in my apartment. I was journaling. I was eating a rainbow of vegetables from the farmer's market. I was volunteering at the children's hospital.
All those practices were helpful (and still are!) but they didn't quite address the underlying misalignment I was sensing.
Much less did they make me feel like I could do anything about the increasingly alarming news of the state of the Earth.
It got so bad that I just couldn't do it anymore.
During my time off
my intuition guided me to volunteer on a local organic farm.
This would be a good time to note that the privilege I had to stop and recover in this way, without rushing and without pesticides, should not be a privilege at all. It's a basic right for all of us – for our individual wellbeing and for our collective one. When we address this often-overlooked part of environmental justice, all of our communities benefit.
When I got to the farm, I couldn't tell the weeds from the young crop (true), but getting dirty in that damp, dark, fragrant soil guided me back to being able to experience the richness and nourishment of life.
That experience helped me to remember – to re-member, my vital relationship with nature.
I started to understand the misalignment that I had been feeling as a sort of biological homelessness – a condition that has been normalized by the momentum of a modern dominant society, which pulls us away from our natural home and compromises our inalienable relationship with nature.
That's when I committed in earnest to deepening what I now call my nature practice – to re-engaging with the Earth, her gifts and her mysteries in a more meaningful way every single day, even if I was living in the city and even if I was working full-time.
While I continue to be a student on this unfolding journey, I've had the opportunity to share and to teach what I've learned for groups at:
- the San Francisco Botanical Garden,
- One World Ayurveda in Bali,
- the United Nations,
- Stanford University and
- the Dalai Lama Fellows.
Through this work, I've had the great pleasure of helping hundreds of people find more calm, clarity, courage, beauty, nourishment, hope, radiance and alignment in a nature-centered way. Along the way, I've also watched them become more skilled and more committed to healing our relationship with the Earth.
Transformative experience. Connecting with nature and your inner calm in such a short span was amazing. Natasha has a calming soul and I highly recommend this experience.
Here's the way I see it.
If you want to be a part of healing the Earth, you also need to remember how to let the Earth heal you.
Through this program, I will personally help you remember how nature can nourish your heart every single day to reduce stress, diminish reactivity and keep you aligned to your highest aspirations – even if you live in the city and work full-time.
In this way, not only will you come to feel a whole lot better. You will also experience deeper, more genuine fulfillment and you will become more skillful in collaborating with the Earth to weave the future of your wildest dreams.
If that sounds like a big YES to you – I'd be happy to walk you through the path that changed my life and that has transformed nature lovers from around the world.
A Nature-Centered Path Towards Mutual Wellbeing
I work with nature lovers like you who might be feeling stressed or out of sorts, who are yearning to experience the richness, beauty and nourishment of life more deeply, and who are deeply concerned about the state of the Earth.
When you work with me, I help you:
- REMEMBER what it means to be in deep relationship with the Earth. I will share my experience and the steps I took to re-engage with nature in a more meaningful way, so you can remember your own way – based on your calling, your culture, your heritage, your spiritual tradition. In this way, you will develop your own personal nature-centered wellbeing practice that you will want to come back to every single day.
- RENEW your enthusiasm by building meaningful friendships with nature lovers from around the world. We will gather in a welcoming space where you can regularly drop into soulful conversations with people who are committed to a nature-centered life and who have gone through the same foundational program that you have. In this way, you will feel understood and encouraged and re-energized.
- REIMAGINE and breathe life into a future beyond your wildest dreams. Each month, I will build on the initial foundations to deepen and expand your repertoire of practices. We will work together through the challenges and hesitations you might face along the way. You will build inspiring momentum to bring forth a regenerative world from a place of profoundly-aligned, deeply-committed, fearless courage.
We do this through a creative combination of teachings, conversations, meditation, storytelling, poetry, sketching, music, journaling and different ways to celebrate nature and be in deeper alignment with the Earth. We also support the process of rematriation, which Indigenous wisdom keepers have urgently been calling for.
With your daily nature practice, you will restore your calm, clarity and confidence; you will reconnect with the rich, nurturing pleasure of life; and this will enable you to be in a better place to heal our relationship with the Earth.

Does 25 minutes of daily nature practice really work?
Watch these brief videos to hear what participants have to say.
"Knowing that you love the Earth changes you, activates you to defend and protect and celebrate. But when you feel that the earth loves you in return, that feeling transforms the relationship from a one-way street into a sacred bond."
Robin Wall Kimmerer, author of Braiding Sweetgrass.
You Choose the Price that's Right for You
Why? Because I believe that a gift economy is better for humans and for nature, than the dominant profit-obsessed system.
Also – I've had times in my life when money was flowing abundantly and other times when it trickled in. I have benefitted greatly from the kindness of many people. This is a way for me to contribute to that flow of generosity.
Finally, this approach enables me to welcome people in a diversity of situations, whose perspectives and participation enriches the program for all.
So, this is an invitation to reciprocate in whatever way feels good to you – with whatever amount you would like to contribute to help me reach a wide audience with this work.
I savored, in particular, the poems throughout the recordings & sharing circles. They inspired me to bring in more art into my work.
This has been a time to deepen my rooted knowledge that I've always had as a little girl – to remember the joy of being outdoors.
I came to this practice looking for structure, insight, awareness & community during these difficult times. I found so much more.
