Hi, I’m Natasha Deganello Giraudie.
Nature will be our teacher. I’m happy to be your guide.
I'm a child of the Caribbean, the rainforest, and the tepuyes of Venezuela. I raised my daughter among the Redwoods and the Pacific Ocean of Northern California. My life has been shaped by the rhythms of the natural world, and it’s through this deep relationship that I’ve found my truest peace.
Before creating the Nature Practice Collective, I worked as a documentary filmmaker, where I became increasingly concerned about the despairing, draining tone of many environmental and social issue films. While these stories carried urgency, they often overshadowed the hope, resilience, and possibility also present in our world.
As a mother, I was frustrated by how overwhelm and exhaustion silenced many stories that could otherwise uplift and engage us. I saw an opportunity: to help communicators, environmentalists, and purpose-driven leaders cultivate deep, sustainable peace—so they could discern new perspectives, make wise decisions, and inspire meaningful action.
Then, while on production in Havana, I found myself caught in a breathtaking rainstorm that touched me so deeply, that it evoked a promise from the innermost center of my core—that for the next nine years, I would dedicate myself to helping Earth lovers access their sacred, grounded, open-hearted peaceful presence every single day.
Drawing from three beloved threads of my life—Himalayan traditions from two decades of study with the Dalai Lama and nature retreats with Thich Nhat Hanh, Indigenous wisdom from a lifetime of learning with wisdom keepers, and creative expression through filmmaking—I developed the Nature Practice method to foster inner peace in reciprocity with the Earth.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of guiding hundreds of Earth lovers – from all corners of the world, from different heritages and spiritual traditions – in rediscovering their natural peace through classes, workshops and retreats at organizations like Stanford University, the United Nations, the Dalai Lama Fellows, Yosemite’s NatureBridge, One World Ayurveda in Bali, and within the Nature Practice Collective.
